CBS 89.2 FM, also known as CBS Radio Buganda or "Radio ya Ssabassajja", is the largest local private commercial FM radio station in Uganda. Located in Kampala, it is jointly owned by the Buganda Kingdom and private investors. The station broadcasts primarily in Luganda with occasional news bulletins in English, covering about 75% of the country. CBS FM has a massive following among the Baganda people, who consider it the official radio station of the Buganda Kingdom. The station's programming includes entertainment, news, information, and music. CBS FM plays a significant role in promoting Buganda culture and norms through programs like "Entanda ya Buganda", a radio quiz that tests participants' knowledge of Buganda history, language, and traditions.
