WPAT-FM signed on in March 1957 as the FM sister station of WPAT 930 AM. For nearly four decades, it aired a beautiful music format before transitioning to soft adult contemporary in the 1990s. In January 1996, the station switched to Spanish-language programming under new ownership by Spanish Broadcasting System.
Today, 93.1 Amor features popular Spanish-language music and personalities. Its studios are located in Midtown Manhattan, while its transmitter sits atop the Empire State Building.
